GRETNA, Neb. – One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Sarpy County Saturday.

At 12:38 p.m., authorities were called to Westridge Road north of Capehart Road in Gretna. Upon arrival, they found the driver of a pickup, 52-year-old Julia Wynkoop-Wiley, of Gretna, suffering serious injuries.

Wynkoop-Wiley was life-flighted to Nebraska Medicine, where she died shortly after arrival.

Investigators say they believe Wynkoop-Wiley was southbound on Westridge Road when she left the roadway at a curve and struck a tree. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

No other details are available with the crash still under investigation.
