Appeals court schedules Boutdy case
State trooper says over 10 grams of meth found in Highway 2 traffic stop
NEBRASKA CITY - Khamphoune Boutdy, 47, of Lincoln was sentenced in Otoe County to three to five years in prison for possession of methamphetamine and a concealed weapon in January of 2020.
Boutdy was arrested following a Highway 2 traffic stop. His attorney Michael Ziskey objected to the stop saying the officer lacked reasonable suspicion to stop and detain Boutdy. Court records say state trooper stopped the vehicle because of blue lights to the rear of the vehicle.
District Judge Julie Smith overruled Ziskey’s motion to suppress.
An arrest affidavit says two handguns and over 10 grams of meth was found.
The case is scheduled for the Nebraska Court of Appeals.
