Jaycees show returning to Steinhart Park

NEBRASKA CITY – The Nebraska City City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. on May 17.
The agenda includes the care of bumpouts on Central Avenue, the Treestock Music Festival in Steinhart Park on July 3 and the Community Foundation outdoor concert at the Veterans Memorial Building parking lot and Memorial Way on Aug. 29.
NCTC plans a community picnic at Wildwood Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 15.
The Nebraska City Jaycees will hold their annual Independence Day celebration on Saturday, July 3.
City commissioners will discuss fixed-base operator services at the airport and removing the policy expectations for the rescue department to be self-sufficient.
A proposed ordinance would allow a trap, neuter and release program for cats.
