PLATTSMOUTH – Cass County Sheriff William Brueggemann reports a Highway 50 collision involving two freight trucks and semi-trailers.

A sheriff’s office press release says a 2003 Freightliner driven by Harry Hauschild, 76, of Lincoln was hauling an excavator east on Adams Street and attempting to cross Highway 50. The trailer was struck by a southbound 2004 Freightliner driven by Steven Purscell, 50, of LaVista.

There were no injuries reported in the accident.

The highway was reduced to one lane until Arrow Towing Service from Omaha arrived to remove the 2004 Freightliner.

Hauschild was issued a citation for failure to yield.
