NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City School Board and Superintendent Mark Fritch are offering to make public presentations regarding the levy override election.

Fritch said he is willing to present to groups of people wherever it is convenient for them. Those interested are asked to call the superintendent’s office to scheduled a time and date.

District open houses are scheduled on Tuesday, April 6, at the high school and Tuesday, April 13, at Hayward. Both open house events begin at 6:30 p.m.

The school board voted 7 to 1 Monday to pursue the override election of nine cents.

A school press release says the nine cents would generate $864,000 each year if the valuation remains at $960 million. The override would allow the district to exceed the lid of $1.05 for five years.
