Frontline in health care, schools named Philanthropists of the Year
Nebraska City Community Foundation Fund planning recognition events in the spring
NEBRASKA CITY – The Nebraska City Community Foundation Fund has selected health care workers and school teachers for the 2020 Philanthropists of the Year award.
A press release says they fit the description of philanthropist as defined as someone who seeks to promote the welfare of others.
NCCF: “Who better deserved to be proclaimed the 2020 Philanthropists of the Year than the people who put themselves on the front line during the pandemic to teach our children and keep Nebraska City residents healthy and care for our loved ones?”
Foundation chairman Brad Moyer said the entire community owes them a huge debt of gratitude.
Moyer: “The health crisis this country has experienced in the past year has severely tested our educators and health care workers. NCCFF wishes to applaud these professionals who have stepped up to the plate day after day to keep us and our loved ones as safe and healthy as possible as well as continue to educate our children.”
The community foundation is planning recognition events this spring at CHI Health St. Mary’s and senior living areas, as well as teacher recognitions on social media.
