Traffic stop yields meth, burglar tools

NEBRASKA CITY – Two Lincoln men are charged in Otoe County after a Nebraska State Patrol motorist assist on H Road near Nebraska City yielded four grams of methamphetamine and what investigators described as burglar tools.
Arrest affidavits for Alexander Janeke, 25, and Preston Payne, 29, say state troopers found illegal drugs, a cut lock, burglar’s tools, multiple Social Security cards that belonged to others, items of value that are suspected stolen and a bucket of copper.
There are no theft charges for either men. Bond was set for Alexander at $50,000. A bond hearing was held for Payne on Wednesday.
