Syracuse expands snow emergency
City prohibits parking on both sides of eight streets

SYRACUSE – The City of Syracuse is alerting residents to an addition to the emergency snow route.
Due to over a foot of snow, the city is extending its citywide snow emergency through midnight on Thursday.
A city press release says a snow emergency means parking is banned on both sides of emergency snow routes.
The following streets or portions of streets within the municipality are hereby designated as snow emergency routes:

- - Mohawk Street from 3rd Street to 15th Avenue.
- - 15th Avenue from Mohawk Street to Walnut Street.
- - Walnut Street from 9th Street to 17th Street.
- - 5th Street from Mohawk Street to Park Street.
- - 6th Street from Mohawk Street to Park Street.
- - Midland Street from 6th Street to 17th Street.
- - 11th Street from Midland Street to Park Street.
- - 9th Street from Walnut Street to Mohawk Street.
Residents are asked to refrain from parking on streets to give plows as much room as possible.
