HUMBOLDT – An overnight fire destroyed the home of a Humboldt family.

Firefighters were called out around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday and found the house at Sixth and Central engulfed in flames.

Matt Lefler was at work at the time and children were staying with their grandmother.

A fire department Facebook posts says electrical service to the house was arcing and a natural gas meter was on fire.

The state Fire Marshal’s office has been called to determine the cause of the fire.
