OTOE – The mother of a woman awaiting sentencing in Otoe and Johnson counties early next year has been charged with felony assault.

The daughter, 23-year-old Brooklyn Proplesch, is awaiting sentencing in Johnson County for setting fire to a former girlfriend’s house. She is scheduled for sentencing in Otoe County for violation of a protection order involving the same woman and theft on allegations that she threatened a man with a crowbar.

Court records say sentencing was delayed while Proplesch was in proceedings with the mental health board.

An arrest affidavit says 50-year-old Susan Allright told deputies she snapped and told her daughter she did not want to go on living this life anymore.

Allright is charged with physical injury and strangulation. Proplesch was also arrested Friday on a warrant.
