FALLS CITY – Paige Gutzmer, 25, of Humboldt was sentenced to one to two years in prison for possession of methamphetamine.

Richardson County Sheriff’s Office went to Humboldt on Sept. 11 to serve a search warrant on a Fourth Street residence, when Gutzmer pulled up in a vehicle.

Court records say Gutzmer told investigators she was planning to pick up more meth in Dawson, but returned home because she suspected that the sheriff was following her.

After Gutzmer’s arrest, the sheriff’s office was joined by the Brown County K9 unit and Sac and Fox Tribal police to search a Dawson residence that resulted in the arrest of Buckley Auxier, 50.

Auxier is scheduled for a court appearance Dec. 8 on a charge of delivery of methamphetamine near a school.

Gutzmer's sentence is concurrent with a Pawnee County case.
