21st Street crash reported in light rain

FALLS CITY – Falls City police investigated a non-injury accident involving experienced drivers during light rain on Monday.

A 2014 Ford Escape driven by 87-year-old Leora Ferguson of Falls City collided with a 2008 Smart ForTwo at the intersection of 21^st Street and Crook Street.

A police report says a witness told investigators that the Escape went through a stop sign, but Ferguson said she stopped and then pulled into the intersection without seeing the oncoming Smart.

Brenner Field reports a wind chill index of 30 degrees. No injuries were reported.
