TALMAGE  - A Talmage pedestrian was taken to a hospital Tuesday after being hit by a Ford Pickup near Market Street east of Main.

A sheriff’s office accident report says a pedestrian was guiding a vehicle driven by 78-year-old John Ruhge to connect to an anhydrous ammonia tank.

The report says Ruhge’s foot slipped from the brake and onto the gas pedal, causing the vehicle to reverse into the pedestrian.

Talmage Rescue took 50-year-old Timothy Gerking of Talmage to the Johnson County Hospital.
