NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City commissioners agreed Monday to offer the city administrator’s position to Lou Leone.

Leone: “I am honored for this opportunity to come to Nebraska City. I am excited to start with the city of Nebraska City.”

Leone was last city administrator of New London, Wisc., where he managed 54 full-time staff.

He was city administrator at Kiowa, Kan., in 2019 and a paralegal in Denver, Colo., in 2015.

Leone earned his master of public administration at the University of Colorado at Denver in 2015.

Commissioners agreed to offer Leone the same salary package that was offered to former City Administrator Grayson Path and a previous applicant, David Todd of Minnesota.

He is expected to start by Dec. 1.
