Auburn woman 'looking for cat' jailed on meth charge

AUBURN – An Auburn woman who says she was out looking for her cat was jailed on a possession charge.

A Nemaha County deputy was dispatched in Auburn to Avenue Apartments on Oct. 11 on a report of people yelling outside. Arraignment is scheduled Nov. 17.

Ariyana Cockerill, 26, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. An arrest affidavit says methamphetamine was found during a jail search.
