Secretary of State reminds voters that Daylight Savings Time ends Sunday

LINCOLN – Nebraska Secretary of State Bob Evnen reminds voters to turn back clocks this weekend and says polls will open on election day, Nov. 3, under standard time.
Polls will open at 8 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
In the May primary election for Cass, Johnson, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee and Richardson counties there were 13,919 early ballots cast. There were also 3,899 votes cast at polling places, which is about 28 percent.
The UN-L newsroom provides some reminders for the end of Daylight Savings Time this weekend.
Clocks are to be turned back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, making a 25-hour day in the fall.
UN-L, of course, suggests that more homework can be done in the extra hour.
They also say achieve correct time on your cell phone, laptop, car’s clock, microwave, analog household clocks and alarm clocks.
