Cass County Teens Slide Down Embankment
Deputies report minor injuries to driver
NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City Fire and Rescue was dispatched to Highway 75 south of Nebraska City Wednesday afternoon for a car that had driven off the highway.
Otoe County sheriff’s deputies found two teens from Cass County and another passenger with the car on the bottom of deep ravine. The driver was taken to CHI Health St. Mary’s for observation and treatment, but the others were uninjured.
The sheriff’s office said the driver reported losing control while southbound on Highway 75. There were tread marks as the car crossed the northbound lane and evidence of braking as the car slid down dozens of feet on the embankment.
