NEBRASKA CITY – B103 FM and KNCY AM Program Director Marcus Lind announced today the recruitment of the first test pilot for a catapult currently under construction.

The catapult, known as the Mead Lumber “Tre-Bee-Shay,” has been specifically designed to bombard Iowa from Nebraska on Black Friday in celebration of a renewal of the tradition of playing on the day after Thanksgiving.

Out of thankfulness for college football in 2020, in the spirit of the AppleJack Festival and in honor of Johnny Appleseed, B103 radio will attempt to catapult an apple from Nebraska into Iowa to propagate Nebraska City apples on the beloved Iowa soil and throughout the Missouri River basin.

Due to the innovative “Shissler Mechanism,” the radio station claims the ability to aim the catapult in the direction of the pink visitor locker rooms at Kinnick Stadium, where Nebraskans are certain to be energized by the highly nutritious, Frost-infused Nebraska apples.

Nebraska and Iowa are scheduled to play on Nov. 27.

The first test pilot recruit is from Falls City and has recently returned to the area after working at Riviera Resorts.
