SYRACUSE –  Fix It Right Auto in Syracuse is expected to re-open despite the death this summer of owner Jeff Lewton,  a 52-year-old former marine.

The building had been vacant since Lewton’s passing in June, but has recently been purchased by mechanic Steve Peterson.

Peterson, his daughter and wife Karri moved to the area three months ago. Peterson has been doing mechanic work for over 35 years.

He was worked on everything from fire trucks and motorcycles to boats and lawn mowers.

He plans to be opening the evenings Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.
