NEBRASKA CITY -  A Nebraska City woman is charged with felony assault against a pregnant woman.

Shantelle Buttry, 25, is scheduled for a court appearance Wednesday on allegations that she choked a woman outside a Second Corso residence on Sept. 21.

An arrest affidavit says witnesses told police that several people were in the house when the owner demanded they clean the place up. The affidavit says Buttry became upset because the alleged victim did not have to work because she was pregnant.

Buttry told police she acted in self defense when the women went outside the residence to bring in some cats.
