TECUMSEH – An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for an Omaha man suspected of attempting to get contraband inside the fence at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution on Aug. 1.

Johnson County sheriff’s deputies arrested 18-year-old Daniel Bol  after finding packages of cell phones, pills, tobacco, lighters and soaked paper. The K9 Norra was deployed after deputies made contact with a woman who claimed she had been recruited to take a man from Omaha to the prison. She told investigators that Bol told her he could not deliver the packages because guards were watching the fence.

A $10,000 bond was set on Aug. 10 and court records say Bol failed to appear in court on Wednesday.
