NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City Fire and Rescue responded Tuesday afternoon to a pickup truck and bicycle collision at the intersection of Fourth Corso and 10th Street.

The eastbound cyclist was knocked to the grass and, despite scrapes and bruises, refused medical transport.

Police say the southbound pickup truck driver,  42-year-old Bill Creek Jr., failed to yield right of way.

After the cyclist, Monte Crunk of Nebraska City, was treated at the scene, he was able to drive the bicycle away.
