Drug, Weapons Charges Stem From Traffic Stop Near Iowa Border With Missouri
SIDNEY – Fremont County Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports drug and firearms charges after an Interstate 29 traffic stop on Aug. 11.
A sheriff’s office press release says a southbound vehicle was stopped just before the state line, six miles after deputies initiated the stop.
The sheriff says two loaded firearms, marijuana and the drug ecstasy were found in the vehicle.
The driver, Deangelo Hill, 20 of Omaha, is suspected of felony eluding, possession, carrying weapons and traffic offenses.
A passenger, Adonis Williams JR, 21, of Omaha, is suspected of a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance and open container.
Another passenger, Elexus Bennette, 21 of Omaha is suspected of carrying weapons and possession.
The Fremont County K9 Unit, Iowa State Patrol, Mills County Sheriff’s Office and Hamburg Fire and Rescue assisted the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office with the call.
