NEBRASKA CITY – A new arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for a Louisville man who has been convicted of theft and criminal mischief at I Road near Syracuse on Feb. 15.

An arrest warrant was first issued for 44-year-old Joseph Cotton on Feb. 27 and a bond of $10,000 was set in March.

The Otoe County attorney’s office amended felony charges to misdemeanors in April and bond was reduced to $5,000.

The new arrest warrant was issued after Cotton failed to appear in court on Wednesday for a restitution hearing.

Cotton is also charged in Cass County with violation of a projection order on July 15. He is scheduled for a court hearing in Cass County on Aug. 11.
