Two Injured West of Missouri River Bridge

NEBRASKA CITY – The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office investigated an injury accident Monday on the eastbound lane of Highway 2 west of the Missouri River bridge.

A 2002 Ford Mustang driven by Richard Sjulin, 17, of Hamburg struck the rear of a 2016 Mazda MX-5 that had slowed following the lane changes in the construction zone.

The driver of the Mazda, 49-year-old Yolanda Fox of Sunnyside, Wash., and a passenger, 53-year-old Chris Fox of Nnob Noster, Mo., sustained minor injuries.

Nebraska City Fire and Rescue transported them to CHI Health St. Mary’s.
