Deputies Recover Stolen Vehicle Saturday

SIDNEY – Fremont County Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports the arrest of a Council Bluffs man in a stolen vehicle.

Deputies were advised of a stolen vehicle out of Council Bluffs shortly after midnight on Saturday and were told it might be headed to the Sidney area.

A press release says deputies located the vehicle on Highway 2 east of Sidney and conducted a traffic stop. The Fremont County K9 assisted.

The driver, 57-year-old Ralph Peterson of Council Bluffs, was taken into custody without incident.

He is suspected of first and fifth degree theft and was held on a $10,000 bond.
