Dog Sitter Charged With Ransack Theft

PLATTSMOUTH – A Plattsmouth woman who was dog sitting and watching a house at Buccaneer Bay while the owners were away has been charged with theft, along with men she brought to the residence.
Investigators from Plattsmouth police and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sabrina Schober, 21, and Andrew Lebeau, 24, following a warrant service on Thursday.
An arrest affidavit says the home owners returned to find the home near Plattsmouth ransacked. Investigators contacted the dog sitter and were told everything was fine the last time she checked on the residence.
Omaha Police later contacted local authorities about a forgery case they were investigating where a passport believed stolen from the residence turned up.
Under Mirandized questioning, suspects told police that jewelry was thrown from a car window, a computer was thrown in the river, documents were burned and the location of daggers and flatware is unknown.
Plattsmouth police posted on Facebook that various narcotics charges are pending in the case.
