Nemaha County Cancels Public Fair Events

AUBURN- The Nemaha County Fairgrounds and Agricultural Society posted on its Facebook page today that the 2020 fair has been canceled.
A modified 4-H fair has been approved. Animals will not be housed on the fairgrounds and 4-H shows are closed to the general public.
The parade, carnival and entertainment sponsored by the fair board are canceled due to directed health measures currently in place.
The Facebook post asks people that are not involved in the current event to not attend to make it easier to maintain a six-foot distance.
The livestock premium auction will be held online as a silent auction.
4-H and open class static exhibits will be displayed in the 4-H building for patrons to view during specified hours Aug. 9-12. Sunday, 2 to 6 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
