Probation Ordered For Handgun, Meth

PLATTSMOUTH – Rebecca Newman, 26, of Plattsmouth has been sentenced to 48 months probation on 2019 possession and weapons charges.

Newman, also known as Rebecca Pfeifer, was originally charged with less than 140 grams of meth  and possession of a defaced firearm.

Charges related to distribution of meth and defaced firearm were dropped.

Prosecutors say Newman was in possession of a handgun when she was pulled over by a Cass County sheriff’s deputy on Sept. 8, 2019.
