KNCB Collects 1,560 Pounds Of Garbage

NEBRASKA CITY – Keep Nebraska City Beautiful announced results from its July 17 Great American Cleanup event.

KNCB Director Sally DuBois said 55 volunteers collected 1,560 pounds of garbage.

Organizers say the COVID-19 pandemic impacted this year’s event, which was moved from April to July. There were 55 volunteers this year, compared to over 100 last year.

DuBois:  Who knows if it is due to moving it from April to July, COVID or if it had rained all day. But we want to thank the businesses and volunteers that did help clean up Nebraska City.”

Another clean up is scheduled right before the AppleJack Festival in September.
