NSEA Reports Mask Recommendation For Schools
Physicians sign on to list supporting wearing masks
LINCOLN – Wearing masks is part of the discussion for safe school re-opening this fall and a topic at a Facebook live event held by the Nebraska State Education Association on Monday.
NSEA officials stressed the need to have teachers as part of the decision-making for dealing with the coronavirus and school safety.
A NSEA press release says Dr. Bob Rauner, president at Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln and member of the Lincoln Public Schools school board, participated in Facebook live event with NSEA leaders on June 29.
He said 124 physicians signed on to a list supporting wearing masks.
Rauner: “There is really no debate from the medical community on the benefits. Wearing masks in schools is a good idea, obviously with limitations.”
