Transit Bus Returns To Service In Syracuse

SYRACUSE - Due to COVID-19 the Syracuse Handi-Bus has been parked for several months, but with restrictions being loosened it’s back on the streets.
Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging is now taking reservations to ride the public transit bus.
This week, they are concentrating on trips to the hospital, pharmacy and grocery store. Beginning June 29, the bus will be open to other destinations, such as the bank, beauty shop and to work.
When making your appointments, you are asked health questions, including do you have a temperature and have you been in contact with anyone that has tested positive for COVID-19.
Blue Rivers will share the restrictions they have put in place. These restrictions require a mask and only one rider per time with exceptions of immediate family. Friends will not be able to ride together.
Syracuse expects arrival of a second public transit bus around the end of July.
