TECUMSEH – Probation sentences have been handed down for two Otoe men accused of possession of psilocybin mushrooms.

Preston Sherman, 20, is sentenced to 18 months probation and Seth Tedeton, 22, is sentenced to 24 months probation.

A Johnson County sheriff’s deputy arrested the men after a Highway 50 traffic stop and a search of a backpack in their pickup truck.

The men denied possession of the mushrooms, saying the backpack was left in the truck by someone else. They entered pleas to misdemeanor attempted possession.
