Refueling tanker flys over Nebraska City hospital

NEBRASKA CITY - The Nebraska Air National Guard conducted a flyover tribute in Nebraska City as scheduled on Monday morning.

Flyovers on Monday honored hospitals in 22 Nebraska communities, beginning in Nebraska City and ending at Bryan West in Lincoln. Other hospitals are located in Norfolk, Grand Island, Ogallala, Chadron and McCook.

A KC-135 R tanker from the 155th Air Refueling wing will fly over 10 hospitals in the Omaha area.

 

People are asked to watch the flyover from their homes or while practicing social distancing.

Over 600 members of the Nebraska National Guard has been active in response to the coronavirus pandemic, shipping medical supplies, packing boxes for food banks and at testing stations.
