6:20 p.m. - Trained weather spotters report a funnel cloud near Cedar Creek in the Plattsmouth area.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for northeast Cass County and Mills County in southwest Iowa until 6:45 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm was located southeast of Cedar Creek at 6:10 p.m. It was moving northeast at 25 mph.

Tornado and hail are possible hazards.

Radar indicated rotation triggering the tornado warning.

The storm is expected to be at Plattsmouth at 6:25 p.m.

6:15 p.m. - Plattsmouth Airport reports thunderstorm in vicinity

5:46 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for portions of Cass County and Mills County in Iowa until 6:30 p.m.

Radar indicated a storm located near Louisville at 5:46 p.m. It was moving northeast at 25 mph.

Possible hazards include hail and damaging winds.

Bellevue, Plattsmouth, Pacific Junction, Louisville State Recreation Area and Offut Air Force base are among communities impacted.

 

Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla., has most of River Country in the marginal risk for severe weather today. 

The Plattsmouth Airport reports 9 mph wind gusts at 5:55 p.m. when radar was showing the storm cell reaching Highway 75.
