Falls City Graduation Pushed To August
School sets tentative date to award diplomas. Some year-end awards announced
FALLS CITY – A graduation ceremony for Falls City High School's class of 2020 was scheduled this Saturday at Prichard Auditorium, but the coronavirus outbreak forced a change of plans.
Principal Gale Dunkas informed seniors in April that a graduation ceremony is being planned for Aug. 1.
Principal Dunkas said any seniors who are departing prior to that date for military service will be honored individually before their departure.
The school did plan to take photographs of seniors with caps and gowns during check-out days last week.
The school announced some year-end awards. Mason Crawford and Hannah Clary were presented trophies for outstanding athletes of the year.
Outstanding weight lifters of the year are Thayer Armbruster and Hunter Arnold.
