AUBURN – The Southeast District Health Department reports a seventh confirmed case of coronavirus within the district.

The person is a woman in her 20s who lives in Otoe County.

She is the second case of COVID-19 in Otoe County. The health department confirmed the first case on April 2.

A press release from the health district says contact investigations are in progress.

 All identified close contacts will be asked to self-quarantine and be actively monitored by public health officials for fever and symptoms of respiratory disease.

The state health department reports that 110 people have been tested in Otoe County and two have been positive.

Nebraska has 29 counties with no cases, including Pawnee and Richardson counties in the Southeast District Health Department.
