NEBRASKA CITY – A Nebraska City woman, who is awaiting trial in Johnson County on allegations that she set fire to a former girlfriend’s house in 2019, has been charged in Otoe County on a recent allegation that she attempted to run the same woman over with her car.

An Otoe County sheriff’s deputy says he was dispatched to Love’s Travel Center at 3 a.m. on April 27 when the Cook woman claimed that she had to dodge two attempts by 22-year-old Brooklyn Proplesch to run her over.

Court records indicate that the woman has a current protection order out against Proplesch.

Proplesch was previously scheduled for trial on July 8 on an arson charge related to the house fire in Cook.

She is also scheduled for a court hearing  in June on a separate criminal trespassing charge and a May 15 hearing on a meth possession charge in February.

Proplesch was also arrested in March on a robbery charge. She was released from custody on a $1,000 bond provision.
