Engineer Director Named GM At Cooper Station

BROWNVILLE – Nebraska Public Power District has named Khalil Dia as the general manager of plant operations effective May 1.

Dia is a 24-year employee of NPPD at its Cooper Nuclear Station near Brownville. He has served as engineering director and has had responsibility over the reactor and fuel engineering since 2016.

Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer John Dent called Dia a gifted and dedicated leader.

Dia, who is a resident of Nebraska City, replaces Joe Sullivan. Sullivan has been named general manager at Entergy’s Arkansas One Nuclear Power Station.
