AUBURN – The Federal Bureau of Investigations Omaha office confirmed that the FBI was on the scene Thursday in Auburn.

Michelle Stevenson of the Omaha field office confirmed that a “court-authorized” law enforcement activity was being conducted.

She said US Department of Justice policy precludes her from making any additional comment.

The federal Drug Enforcement Administration confirmed Friday that search warrants were served as part of an ongoing investigation.

The action also involved the Hyrum Family Value Pharmacy on 14th Street.

No further details are provided.

The pharmacy lobby was open as usual on Friday and a mail-in service is also available during the coronavirus pandemic.

The pharmacy's website says they have been in operation in Auburn and Omaha since 2003.

The Nemaha County Sheriff's Office was also on scene at one Auburn location, when a search warrant was being served.

An Auburn man who contacted News Channel Nebraska said he went to the pharmacy to get a prescription filled for allergies. He said he was stopped by federal agents. He said an FBI agent told him the pharmacy was closed.

He said there were three or four agents in the pharmacy around 11:30 a.m.
