NC Calls Board of Health Meeting
Meeting scheduled 5 p.m. on Monday, March 16
NEBRASKA CITY – The Nebraska City Board of Health is schedule to meet March 16 regarding the new corona virus COVID-19.
Chief of Police Dave Lacy, who city code names as the city’s quarantine officer, said he expects the meeting is called to share information from the Center for Disease Control regarding the new corona virus.
He said the board might discuss actions the city could take if the severity of the outbreak grows.
The five-member board last met in 2007 when HFN1, also known as the bird flu virus, was transmitted to a human.
A meeting is scheduled Friday morning at the state capitol regarding K-12 school closures.
