SCRIBNER – The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch through Monday morning for Cass County

The watch area includes portions of central Nebraska and southeast Nebraska, including Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy, Saunder and Washington counties.

Warmer temperatures through the weekend could lead to ice movement along the Platte and Elkhorn rivers.

As of Friday, the highest concentration of ice is from the railroad bridge near Fremont to the County Road 11 downstream of North Bend.

A significant amount of ice is also reported near Scribner.

A flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.
