JULIAN – A Nemaha County road worker was taken to a hospital Thursday with minor injuries after a rock truck overturned on a county road.

County Commissioner Mike Hall said the driver had just turned off of Highway 67 and was preparing to add rock to Road 637. A tire of the Sterling truck slipped off the road on a steep slope and the truck with a belly-dump trailer turned onto its side.

The Johnson man was assisted by other motorists to get out of the truck.

Hall said the cause of the accident is unknown.

Firefighters from Auburn and Brock and Julian departments responded.
