Verdon Man Held On Weapons Charges
Richardson County Sheriff: arrest linked to a search of a Verdon residence.

By News Channel NebraskaVERDON – The Richardson County Sheriff’s Office reports an arrest linked to a search of a Verdon residence.
Deputies arrested 49-year-old Richard Wheeler on Wednesday for suspicion of possession of a firearm by a felon. Wheeler was convicted of felony DUI in 2015.
A sheriff’s office post on Facebook says the charges are related to the Feb. 7 search.
Two shotguns, numerous knives and swords were seized, as well as numerous boxes of ammunition.
The post says illegal drugs were also found.
Court records say deputies served the no-knock, daytime warrant after photos of shotguns and a rifle were sent to sheriff's deputies.
