Cheer Patrols, Love Bird Walks, Deep Fried Oreos In Valentine's Day Trend - B103 Is Not There Yet

NEBRASKA CITY –  Valentine's Day trends in 2020 include bouquet-shaped pork ribs, senior cheer patrols and love bird walks, but B103 FM station is not there yet.

Sara Skirboll of RetailMeNot contacted B103 about restaurant deals for Valentine’s Day.

Deep fried Oreos, a romantic bouquet of baby back ribs, heart-shaped bagels, heart-shaped pizza crust and chocolate covered cherries in the shape of a love bird.

Comparitech. Com has recently published its list of the romantic comedies from each state. Nebraska’s favorite is “There’s Something About Mary.”

Synergy Home Care quotes a San Diego School of Medicine study saying 85 percent of senior citizens report loneliness on Valentine’s Day.

The home care company sponsored “senior cheer patrol” this year offering Be-My-Valentine visits.

Other are sponsoring Visiting Angels who volunteer to be designated huggers to combat senior loneliness.

The Great Backyard Bird Count has scheduled events on Valentine’s Day weekend.

 

A Valentine’s Day themed bird walk is planned at Spring Creek Audubon Center and staff will present on the mating and courting rituals of birds.

It’s not all romance, however.

OPPD sent out its Valentine’s Day message today. The power company says Mylar balloons may seem like a fun way to send your love, but they can wreak havoc with power lines.

B103 sponsored Cupid’s Quiz. When someone enters three questions and answers to Marcus, the radio show hosts will call the special partner to see who can answer Cupid’s Quiz. The winners report that they are soon to be married.
