Winner of World Travel Award Set For Nebraska Agritourism Workshop
Fontana collaborated with National Geographic for open-air augmented reality
By News Channel NebraskaNEBRASKA CITY – The 2020 Agritourism and Adventure Travel Workshop is scheduled Feb. 25-27 at the Lied Lodge and Conference Center in Nebraska City.
Speakers include 2019 world travel award winner Jeremy Fontana, who is the driving force behind the wilderness resort in Canada, of Au Diable Vert. Fontana collaborated with National Geographic for an open-air planetarium and outdoor adventure spot.
Workshop sessions highlight craft beer, rural communities and emergency preparedness.
Tours will include Arbor Day Farm, Slattery Estates and Midwest Hop Producers.
Nebraska Tourism Director John Ricks and Austin Mackrill of Arbor Day Farm will also speak.
The Nebraska Tourism Commission is scheduled to meet at Fox Center from 3 to 5 p.m. on Feb. 25.
