Peru Competitive Cheer Places Second
Peru State College's competitive cheer team has second place finish at Benedictine
PERU – Peru State College’s competitive cheer team continued to establish itself in the sport this weekend with a second-place finish at the Benedictine Invitational in Atchison, Kan.
Peru State finished with 52.53 points, ahead of Bethany, Kan., and Baker.
Coach Brooke Earnest said the competition in the cheer world is tough and some of the best teams in the NAIA on in Peru State’s conference.
The team will compete at Concordia Invitation in Seward on Feb. 12. The conference championships will be Saturday, Feb. 15, in Olathe, Kan.
