Richardson County Election Report

FALLS CITY - The Richardson County Elections Office has released seats available in the May 12 primary election.
County board commissioners for districts 2 and three will be elected on the partisan ballot.
School Districts 56 and 70 each have three positions up for election this year with up to six candidates being considered for nomination at the primary. Election will be in November.
The City of Falls City and the City of Humboldt council member seats are up for election to a 4-year term.
Falls City has one seat in each of four wards and Humboldt has seats in Wards I and Ward II.
The Airport Authority in the City of Falls City has two members up for election for a 6-year term.
Unlike years past, there will no longer be candidates on the ballot for delegates to the Republican Party County Convention.
The law now states that anyone who wishes to attend the Republican Party County Convention as a delegate must register with the county clerk by March 2.
Those registering thus far are: Vincent Metzner.
Other offices to be nominated at the primary election are: President of the United States, United State Senator, Representative in Congress-Dist. 3, Southeast Community College Board Members for District 2 and At-Large, Nemaha Natural Resource Districts 8, 9, 10.
Filing forms for these offices can be obtained at the Office of the County Clerk, but the candidate filing must be made with the Secretary of State.
The candidate filing deadline for Village Board of Trustees and Educational Service Unit No. 4 is July 15 for incumbents and August 3 for non-incumbents.
