NEBRASKA CITY – Traffic stops on Highway 2 have resulted in charges against suspected drug dealers in Otoe County.

The Otoe County Attorney’s Office has filed a felony drug distribution charge against an Atlanta, Ga., woman who was pulled over on Highway 2 Jan. 25.

A sheriff’s deputy used the service dog named Blaze to sniff a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Ikelylah Brown.

 

An arrest affidavit says a subsequent search yielded 40 pounds of marijuana wrapped in green plastic saran wrap.

A Nebraska State Trooper arrested a Lincoln man on illegal drug and weapon charges following a Highway 2 traffic stop on Jan. 23.

 Khamphoune Boutdy, 46, of Lincoln is charged with possession of 18 grams of methamphetamine, possession of less than a pound of marijuana and possession of a firearm while in the commission of a drug felony.

The state trooper says two handguns were found concealed within reach of the driver, as well as a box of ammunition.

An arrest affidavit says several pills were also found, including  hydromorphone, Diazepam and Tramadol.
