Bobcat Men Defeat Baker 80 to 51

Robinson led with 17 points and just as many rebounds

PERU – The Peru State College men’s basketball team defeated Baker University 80 to 51 Monday to even the Bobcat’s season record at 10 and 10 and improve their Heart of America Athletic Conference record to 9 and 6.

Peru State scored 14 points off of fast breaks and 12 off of offensive turnovers. The Bobcats led by 29 with 17 seconds to play after a three-pointer by freshman guard Ante Martinac.

Baker University was 3 of 27 from three-point range.
Peru State made 13 of its 28 three-point attempts, including three of six by senior forward Noah Vasa.

Kendrick Robinson led the Bobcats with 17 points, followed by 14 by Devon Colley and 11 by Henry Tanksley. Robinson also had a game-high 17 rebounds.

Ted Harshbarger, associated athletic director, said the win ties the Bobcat’s for fourth in the conference with their next opponent, MidAmerica Nazarene.
